As pointed out by @Sheepdog89, you ever know when you might need a good knot. I learned many while being a Boy Scout but tend to forget them over time. My resource has been Animated Knots. They show tying each knot step by step. Everything from Search and Rescue to decorative ones. I keep the app on my phone and have used it when fishing a new rig or helping someone move.
I suggest you pick a knot during the week and tie it in a short piece of string or rope whenever you think of it. A 12” piece of string can fit in your pocket.
There is going to be a hand to hand Self Defense workshop on Tuesday the 17th from 7pm - 9 pm. It is being taught by a martial arts school specialized in hand to hand defense.
