Steps to becoming a ham radio operator.
1. Study for your Technician Class Exam

your preferred method.

2. Ask for help from the other hams in the group if you run into questions.

3. Sign up to test

Be careful to follow ALL of the instructions for signing up for these tests. The rules are very strict. While taking the test you must adhere to the guidelines and instructions.
4. Pass your Technician Class License
The VECs will submit your paperwork to the FCC and you will receive your callsign in about a week.
5. GET ON THE AIR!
There is going to be a hand to hand Self Defense workshop on Tuesday the 17th from 7pm - 9 pm. It is being taught by a martial arts school specialized in hand to hand defense.
Cost is $30
Payment can be made in cash or via Venmo.
