The American Radio Relay League provides free online courses. I strongly suggest that everyone take these course to learn about emergency radio communications. They are free!
Amateur radio operators volunteer during disasters to provide communications for civilians and emergency responders alike. This is a valuable service that any radio operator can help with, even from home. Learning to pass traffic is a valuable skill that requires practice. Letting someone near you know that their loved one is safe in a disaster area helps your local community too.
There is going to be a hand to hand Self Defense workshop on Tuesday the 17th from 7pm - 9 pm. It is being taught by a martial arts school specialized in hand to hand defense.
Cost is $30
Payment can be made in cash or via Venmo.
