Training Report for Nov 29th

#Training

We had an excellent day of training with G2 Tactical Consulting ( [email protected] ) and Evolution Tactical ( http://www.evtactical.com )

Evolution Tactical provided two instructors and a smokeless range. One instructor had a significant military background and the other civilian law enforcement. They ran us through drills using the smokeless range. By having a both instructors we were able to get feedback from a tactical AND law enforcement perspective on our performance. This is a huge advantage over other kinds of training. The smokeless range provided a new level of feedback on reaction times, accuracy, and real possibilities. The realistic scenarios let you examine your own conclusions. The system also allowed the instructors to change the scenario on the fly so you weren’t just playing a video game knowing what to expect. The real world doesn’t behave that way, neither should your training.

G2 Tactical Consulting also supplied two instructors who continue to be excellent. They took us through a Stop the Bleed refresher and Basic First Aid. You can never refresh information too many times. Preparedness comes from regular training and expansion of knowledge. G2’s instructors provide that.

For basic first aid we covered the following:
Foot care
Thermal and Chemical Burns
Eye injuries
Hand injuries
Shock
Wrist, elbow, ankle immobilization

If you’re asking why do we combine topics, the answer is simple. Preparedness requires you to be well rounded. Training in only one area creates imbalances. By applying good teaching methods and running parallel topics, we are maximizing the educational value for our members time.
